I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve been named a finalist for the Women in AI North America Awards 2025, in the category AI in Industry Award - Innovator of the Year Private Sector.

I was included in The Logic’s article titled “Future leaders: Inside the Canadian summer school that’s a global hothouse for AI talent”. The article reflects on 20 years of the CIFAR Deep Learning + Reinforcement Learning Summer School and its role in shaping global AI leadership.

I was honored to join fellow alumni as a panelist at the 20th-anniversary edition of the CIFAR Deep Learning + Reinforcement Learning Summer School. The panel, Charting Your Path in AI, brought together voices across academia and industry to reflect on our respective career journeys in AI.

I was honored to contribute thought leadership as an invited industry participant at CIFAR’s AI for Energy & the Environment Symposium. The symposium is a collaborative workshop bringing together leaders from academia, government, industry, and philanthropy to guide the next phase of the Pan-Canadian AI Strategy.

I was honored to be featured as a 2021 Honoree in the Lathisms Calendar, an initiative that celebrates the contributions of outstanding Latinx and Hispanic mathematicians to the mathematical sciences. This recognition highlights excellence not only in research and teaching, but also in mentorship and efforts to promote diversity and inclusion in STEM.

I was honored to be selected as one of only 200 participants (from over 4,000 applicants worldwide) to attend the F8 Hackathon, part of Facebook’s annual developer conference. The event brought together developers from across the globe in a vibrant and collaborative atmosphere to build tech-driven solutions for social good.

I was honored to be selected as a Rising Star in Computational and Data Sciences in 2019, a highly competitive program hosted by the Oden Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences at UT Austin, in partnership with Sandia and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories.

I was selected to attend the Facebook F8 Developers Conference and was granted a travel award by the Lean In Computer Science & Engineering Student Chapter. Held in San Jose, California, the conference brought together a global community of developers and innovators to explore the future of technology across platforms such as AI, AR/VR, and data privacy.

As a research intern at the National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center (NERSC) at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, I presented a poster on high-performance computational methods for geophysical modeling. This work, conducted during my PhD at the University of British Columbia, explored scalable approaches for scientific computing and contributed to research efforts at NERSC.
