The SPI program, which I co-founded at CIMAT, tackles real-world challenges encountered by both profit and non-profit organizations. In collaboration with academics and professionals, the program develops mathematical/computational use cases and feasibility solution studies through 1-week workshops. Over 4 years, I played a pivotal role in facilitating the program’s growth from local to international prominence, working closely with CIMAT’s exec team to enhance visibility and foster partnerships with Mexican industries. Today, SPI workshops are held annually as a flagship program at CIMAT’s Technological Service Office.
